Description
Nitroring
- Forms a mature and healthy microsystem.
- Maximizes the filter area.
- 1150 m²/L surface.
Rough surface
The coarse texture helps to attach nitrifying bacteria and make them grow faster, significantly speeding up the establishment of the nitrification system.
Oblique section
This creates more filter space. The sum of the beveled nitrification rings positively interrupts the water flow, so that the filtration efficiency can be improved and extended in the area of the nitrification ring.
Micro hole
Supports aerobic nitrifying bacteria formation and cultivation on the surface of the nitrided ring. While the internal micropores are conducive to the cultivation of anaerobic bacteria for the denitrification reaction, NO3 is broken down into nitrogen and oxygen through denitrification.
Large surface area
In biochemical filtration of ceramic filter media with a larger surface area, the ability to cultivate bacteria is much stronger. The special manufacturing process developed by Mountain Tree has the distinctive ability to cultivate bacteria due to the excellent microporous structure within the ceramic ring and the large surface area of the nitrification ring.
Water absorption
The higher the water absorption rate of the ceramic ring, the better the continuity of the internal micropore structure within the ceramic ring. The consistency of the internal pores determines the efficiency of water flow to bring NO3 into the ceramic ring for anaerobic denitrification. Nitroring with superior water absorption and water absorption speed.
Slanted design: Our slanted design swirls the water in different directions, so the bacteria are best supplied with water and oxygen.

The porous structure offers a larger specific surface area for bacteria.

Compared to traditional products, our nitro rings absorb a larger amount of water in a shorter time.

Both open and closed pores allow the cultivation of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria that effectively convert nitrite to nitrate.

The nitrifying bacteria grow very well on our nitro rings:

In addition to food, the water itself is the most important source of minerals.
A high abundance of minerals makes the fish active, stimulates digestion and makes the water clear.

The chains have the advantage that they do not have to be removed individually when inserting and removing them from the filter.
